A big thank you to those who made it possible for the school to acquire the Portable Word Processors! Your generosity is very much appreciated. Two portable word processors called ‘NeoSmarts’ have been purchased. These word processors can be connected to a computer for printing purposes, have spell check and thesaurus features and have proven to be very beneficial to students.
• Musical Instruments – With band and musical instrument instruction back on track at the Wilbur & McMahon Schools, there is a definite need for musical instruments both new and used. So if you’ve got a clarinet, flute, saxophone, trumpet, snare drum, baritone horn, trombone, or any other instrument just collecting dust in a closet, go find it and donate it to the Wilbur & McMahon Schools. Or if you prefer to help defray the costs of purchasing new instruments, please make a donation to the LCEF stipulating that you’d like the money to be used for instruments.
How can you help?
• Make a tax-deductible donation – If you’d like to donate any of these wish list items to the Wilbur & McMahon Schools, or contribute toward the purchase of any of them, please contact or send your check to the Little Compton Education Foundation, P.O. Box 1010, Little Compton, RI 02837. You can also contact the LCEF through its website at www.lceducationfoundation.org. For more information about any of the wish list requests, please contact Superintendent Dr. Harold Devine at the Wilbur & McMahon School.
• Join our e-mail list – If you’re interested in finding out more about the LCEF, would like to get involved, or just want to be kept abreast of what the LCEF is doing, send us an e-mail email@example.com with your name and e-mail address. We’ll add you to the LCEF e-mail distribution list.
• Thank a teacher – If you’re looking for ways to acknowledge all that your child’s teacher has done throughout the year, or just want to say thank you to a teacher for being so supportive of the children who attend the Wilbur & McMahon Schools, make a tax-deductible donation to the LCEF in that teacher’s name. The money will then be put in the LCEF general fund and will be used to fund future wish list requests and teacher grants that will stimulate and encourage learning for many other students. The teacher will receive a special tribute from the LCEF announcing that a donation was made in their honor. It’s a gesture that the teachers will truly appreciate and your money will be put to good use!
